Coca-Cola products in Singapore are safe

Coca-Cola Company had issued a statement saying their ingredients are approved for use by local regulatory authorities throughout the world.

A fungicide scare was triggered last week when soft-drink giant Coca-Cola Co, maker of Minute Maid orange juice, said it had discovered carbendazim in shipments from Brazil. It then alerted US authorities about a potential industry-wide problem.

This also prompted rival company PepsiCo to run tests on its Tropicana orange juice. It also showed low levels of the potentially dangerous fungicide, but the company said the levels were below federal safety concerns.
