The Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) has met with the Housing Development Board (HDB) to address flash flooding issues in the Kovan market area during heavy downpours.
HDB said they will begin improvement works to the Kovan Market's car park in the second quarter to prevent water from flowing into the market.
The works are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter.
As an interim measure, the Town Council is constructing a retaining wall to better regulate the flow of water at the car park.
