Muhammad Hairil Samad, 28, and Mohamad Noor Abdullah, 34, allegedly had six bundles of granular substance - believed to contain heroin - in a car for the purpose of trafficking that day.
The amount was part of 8.5kg of heroin seized by the Central Narcotics Bureau, and is the largest since 2008.
Hairil and Noor were remanded for further investigation as they may be linked to a syndicate. They will be back in court on Oct 21. Anyone convicted of trafficking in more than 15g of heroin faces the mandatory death penalty.
