LOOK out for your poll card in your letter box today.

By Thursday noon, some 963,000 poll cards have been dropped into letter boxes by over 1,000 postmen deployed to carry out the special dedicated runs, said SingPost in a press statement.

Mr Woo Keng Leong, Executive Vice President (Mail) of SingPost said the special runs were made to ensure voters get their poll cards early.

Normal mail delivery resumed immediately after the dedicated runs.

A total of 2,211,102 Singaporeans will go to the polls on May 7, double the 1.22 million who voted in the 2006 general election.

Of these, 3,453 will be voting abroad at nine overseas polling stations.
