ANOTHER 2,000 teachers will be recruited to further expand the teaching force here to 33,000 by 2015, said Education Minister Ng Eng Heng on Thursday.
Schools at the Primary, Secondary and Junior College levels will get at least two to four more teachers each.
More teachers will also be provided in tandem with the roll-out of new programmes and initiatives, and additional manpower will be given to support schools as some teachers may go on maternity leave or opt for part-time teaching. MORE
