Undersea tunnel to Malaysia?

SINGAPORE - An undersea tunnel between the Republic and Malaysia for the planned rapid transit system (RTS) linking the two neighbours is an option both sides are considering, Malaysian Transport Minister Kong Cho Ha said on Tuesday.

Though it may be more costly, the undersea tunnel was considered more environmentally friendly, Bernama reported Mr Kong as saying. "We have some options but still have to sit down seriously to discuss with the Singapore side to come up with an agreement on how to jointly develop this," he said. MORE
