Two Singaporeans - drag racer Kwek Kon Chun and professional photographer Franco Toh - were killed in a car accident while entering the city from Sepang near Desa Petaling early Sunday (Nov 9).
Kuala Lumpur staff officer for traffic investigation and regulation, DSP S Markandan, said the luxury Porsche 911 Turbo they were travelling in was believed to have skidded, crashed into the guardrail on the side of the road and overturned in the mishap which occurred at 2.45am.
Mr Kwek, 35, and Mr Toh, 43, died at the scene, DSP S Markandan said in a statement.
Malaysian police said a 20-metre steel rail from the road divider had impaled the car through the driver's side, pinning Mr Kwek and his passenger Mr Toh.
