The body of a man was found at the rear of the van at Sembawang Park carpark on Friday (Nov 14).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at noon.

When they arrived at Carpark B of the park, officers had to use equipment to conduct forced entry into the vehicle.

SCDF said they found a body of an Indian man in his 30s at the back of the van, and paramedics pronounced him dead on arrival. A fire engine and an ambulance were sent to the scene as well.

The van's front window was broken, and shattered glass was seen on the ground when Channel NewsAsia was on the scene.

Police have classified the case as one of unnatural death, and said investigations are ongoing. Channel NewsAsia understands that there was no foul play involved.
