A young boy, believed to be seven-years old, was found dead at the foot of a Tampines HDB block on Saturday.

The police are currently investigating it as a case of unnatural death.

A spokesman said that it received a call for assistance at Tampines Ave 4 at 1.02pm.

Paramedics pronounced the boy, who is understood to have suffered injuries consistent with a fall from height, dead at the scene.

The Straits Times understands that foul play is suspected, and that no arrests have been made yet.

Police cordoned off the foot of the block until nightfall.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers were seen gathering evidence. They also went to the boy's ninth-floor home to talk to the family.
