A year earlier, she also stole a wallet and pocketed $700.
On Thursday, cabin crew supervisor Fazlynn Ermelda Nasir, 39, was fined $2,000 for the offences.
On April 6 this year, she was on duty onboard Tiger Airways flight TR2774 from Singapore to Jakarta when she stole from flight attendant Liu Jin.
Ms Liu, a 24-year-old Chinese national, had placed her trolley bag next to Fazlynn's bag in an overhead compartment.
Fazlynn later took $600 from Ms Liu's wallet, which was left inside her trolley bag. She threw the wallet into a dustbin.
Ms Liu noticed her money was missing as they were returning to Singapore onboard flight TR2775 later that day.
When they arrived at Changi Airport, Fazlynn accompanied her to make a police report at the Terminal 3 Pass Office.
When the police checked Fazlynn's trolley bag, they found the $600 and she later admitted that she had stolen the money.
It is not mentioned in court papers why the police decided to check Fazlynn's bag.
A wallet belonging to another person was also found in Fazlynn's possession. Checks showed that it belonged to Ms Salbiah Khalid, 36, a manager who reported the loss on April 14 last year.
Fazlynn was with Ms Salbiah in a taxi when she noticed the wallet had dropped from the latter's bag. She picked it up, took the $700 and kept the wallet for her own use.
She returned the $700 to Ms Salbiah on April 9 this year.
Lawyer Chia Boon Teck, co-managing partner of Chia Wong LLP, said that any crime committed on board an aircraft registered in Singapore while it is outside Singapore airspace is still considered a crime committed here.
