
With the rising COE prices, more cars older than 10 years are plying the roads.
Rather than a 10-year COE renewal period and have some owners drive without a care about the mileage consumed because they happened to already pay low COE prices, vehicles with lower mileage should be allowed to stay on the roads.
Otherwise, if the number of older used cars grows, we should be prepared to see more vehicle breakdowns.
