MSL: Felda and Sarawak secure away wins

On a busy Friday night in the Malaysian Super League, it was the away teams who dominated, with both Felda United and Sarawak securing wins.

In Malacca, striker Nizad Ayub bagged a hat-trick as Felda United eased past basement dwellers Kuala Lumpur 4-0 at the Hang Jebat Stadium

The comprehensive victory helped Felda rise to 11th in the table with 14 points from their 13 first round games, while struggling Kuala Lumpur have now completed half the league season without a win to their name.

Nizad opened the scoring thanks to a fierce shot in the 23rd minute.

The 23-year-old then doubled his side's advantage when he made the most of some slack Kuala Lumpur defending to send a header past goalkeeper Rozami Rohim.

Nizad duly grabbed a third in the 73rd minute, before substitute Farderin Kadir completed an easy day at the office for Felda three minutes from time.

At the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar, Sarawak stunned Kedah 2-0.

Shahrol Saperi and recent Cameroonian signing Joel Epalle both notched second half goals to seal the win for Robert Alberts' side, who despite the win remain eighth.
