Elderly man found dead under Lentor flyover

An elderly man was found dead beneath a flyover at Lentor Ave yesterday afternoon (16 Mar).

The body of the 78-year-old man was discovered in the bushes by a passerby at 2.20pm.

It is understood that there were no obvious injuries on the man's body, and no valuables had gone missing.

The man is believed to live in a bungalow nearby and is known to enjoy watching people fish at a nearby fishing pond in Yishun.

The man had again gone out to watch people fishing yesterday morning but failed to return home for lunch.

His family was worried for his safety as he had been uncontactable since.

After the police notified the deceased's family, more than ten family members turned up at the scene to see the man's body.

A number of them broke down in tears after finding out about the elderly man's demise.
