Three amigos arrested for Holland Close fires

Three teenagers aged between 18 and 19 who were suspected of setting fires to a wheelchair and some clothing have been arrested.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the two separate incidences of fire at Holland Close at around 12.05am and 12.50am on Feb 1.

Police investigations allowed the authorities to identify the whereabouts and the identities of the youths enabling their arrests the following day at around 10.30pm.

The police believe that the trio had started the two fires to cause mischief.

The police also believe that the 19-year-old youth is responsible for other similar fires around Holland Close and Commonwealth Avenue.

The teen will be charged in court on Feb 4 for Mischief by Fire that carries a maximum jail sentence of seven years and a fine.

Police are still investigating the other two teens.
