Ex-SIA flight attendant seeks more for back injury

While this ex-SIA stewardess and heroine has moved on to better things in life, another ex-SIA stewardess from China has decided to sue the company 'over a back injury that has forced her to quit'.

A former Singapore Girl is suing the national airline over a back injury that has forced her to quit her $3,500-a-month job and settle for one paying $826 a month back in her native China.

Ms Li Na, 31, who in January obtained judgment in a district court here against Singapore Airlines (SIA) in a negligence suit, now wants the case moved to the High Court to assess the damages payable.

She claims the loss of future earnings and career prospects, when calculated, would bust the $250,000 ceiling on payouts made in the subordinate courts.
