Car crushed by tree at AMK Avenue 3

Imagine receiving a phone call from HDB one day telling you your car has been wrecked, and nobody's to blame. That's what happened to STOMPer Patricia, after a tree toppled over onto her parked car seemingly on its own.

The STOMPer explained her situation:

"I received a call from HDB Town Council this afternoon informing me that my car was crushed by a fallen tree at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 HDB carpark.

"I rushed back home and to my horror, my car was almost 75% dented.

"The workers were already there sawing the branches and removing a gigantic tree trunk from my car with its roots still intact.

"I walked around the area and many concerned neighbours whom I didn't know, were there to console me. Some of them rushed down to the carpark because they heard a loud bang.

"One of them, who was working in the shop near the carpark told me that during the time of the accident, there was no wind at all, thus the fall of tree was not a result of strong wind.

"I can’t agree more since the tree was totally uprooted. Its roots must have been rotten for quite a while.

"Can anybody tell me what I should do now? Who can I go to, to ask for a car replacement?"
