Band 5 school trumps Band 1 schools in terms of awards won

Ang Mo Kio Secondary School will be receiving five awards, while Band 1 schools like Anderson Secondary and CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' are getting only three each.

Ang Mo Kio Secondary won two Development Awards for National Education and Character Development, an Achievement Award for adding academic value and two Sustained Achievement Awards.

It is the first time that the school is receiving so many awards together. It's also the first time it has applied for and received an award for National Education.
