An SCDF spokesman told Stomp that they received a call about the accident which happened just outside Lau Pa Sat, along Shenton Way on Friday, 12.05am.

One ambulance, two fire engines, one support vehicle and Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team vehicle were deployed.
One witness said he overheard that the Lamborghini had collided with the taxi as it was turning left. There was a "really loud bang" and the taxi was hit from behind. No one else appeared to have been hurt.

The SCDF spokesman said: "On arrival, we found that a pregnant woman had become trapped in the rear passenger seat.
"Three hydraulic spreader-cutters were used to remove the two left side doors, as well as the left front seat.
"After extrication, the woman was conveyed alert and conscious to Singapore General Hospital."
