Ninety-one traffic summonses issued, six motorists arrested on New Year's Eve

Six drivers were arrested for serious traffic violations such as dangerous driving and drink-driving during an island-wide operation against errant motorists on New Year's Eve (Dec 31) and the early hours of New Year's Day.

The Traffic Police conducted the joint operation with the Land Transport Authority.

Ninety-one summonses were issued. Of these, 63 were for making illegal modifications to vehicles, four for speeding and 24 for minor traffic offences.
