800,000 households to receive S$100 million in GST, utilities rebates in January

About 800,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive S$100 million worth of GST Voucher - Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebates in January 2015.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said that eligible Singaporean households will receive up to S$195 in vouchers and special payments depending on their HDB flat type.

Those living in 1- or 2-room flats can offset about three to four months' worth of utilities bills on average with the regular GST Voucher - U-Save rebates.

Those in 3- or 4-room flats will be able to offset about three months' worth of utilities bills with the GST Voucher - U-Save and special payments, the MOF said.
