Temporary closure of Changi Airport T1 car park this weekend

There will be temporary changes to the parking and pick-up arrangements at Changi Airport's Terminal 1 (T1) from 2am on Friday (Oct 17) to 2am on Tuesday (Oct 21). These arrangements are part of a dry run in preparation of the closure of the T1 open-air car park in the last quarter of 2014.

The Changi Airport Group announced the following changes on Tuesday (Oct 14) in a media release:


During this four-day period, the open-air car park fronting T1 will be temporarily closed and relocated to Terminal 2 (T2).

The T1 Arrival pick-up point will be moved to a new location outside the T1 Arrival Hall.

The following measures will be in place to assist members of the public with the changes:

• Road signage and lane markings will be up to guide motorists to the relocated facilities. Signs will also be put up within the terminals.
• Airport staff and traffic marshals will be deployed to assist users and motorists.
• Videos to guide drivers to the relocated facilities will be available online.
• A free shuttle bus service will be added to supplement the existing Skytrain service for transfers between T1 and T2. It will operate daily at regular intervals.
