StarHub's fibre broadband and digital voice services were disrupted on Thursday (Oct 2), with services being "fully restored" as of 11.50pm.
At about 9pm, StarHub had said it was aware that "some of our fibre broadband and Digital Voice (fibre) customers are facing difficulties in using the services at the moment. We are currently working to rectify this as quickly as we can". About 90 minutes later, the telco said that the affected fibre services are "now progressively being restored".
StarHub customers took to the telco's Facebook page to voice their concerns, from about 6pm onwards. Complaints came from fibre broadband customers in Yishun, Tampines, Kovan and Sembawang, who said they experienced "technical errors" when trying to connect to the Internet.
One StarHub customer, who said she had been in touch with the telco, posted on Facebook that StarHub's customer service officer told her it was an "island-wide issue".
Channel NewsAsia understands that residents in Pasir Ris and Sengkang are also affected.
