Shimano Cycling World opens in Singapore

Shimano Inc, which designs and manufactures bicycle components, has opened an experiential bicycle centre here called Shimano Cycling World.

Located next to the Singapore Sports Museum in the new Singapore Sports Hub, the 650 square metre interactive centre showcases bicycles while simultaneously seeking to develop the cycling culture in Singapore and promote the health benefits of cycling.

Visitors will be able to view and interact with the various cycling exhibits, which include an interactive installation and a touchscreen platform which allows guests to research cycling paths in Singapore.

The centre will also organise workshops featuring industry experts for the public to learn about bicycle mechanisms and acquire basic technical knowledge.
