SMRT has advised that travelling time on part of the Circle Line (CCL) will be slightly longer on the morning of 27 October, Sunday.
From the start of train service to 10am that day, trains will be operating on a single platform between Labrador Park and HarbourFront MRT stations as SMRT will be replacing the power cable. This is to minimise power outage and boost system reliability.
SMRT advised passengers to allow an additional 10 minutes' travelling time along that stretch during the period.
Station staff will also be deployed on the ground to offer help when needed.
SMRT added that the cable replacement programme, which started in mid-January, is expected to be completed by the end of the year -- 18 months ahead of schedule.
