StarHub has released a press statement saying that as of 5pm Sunday, more than 600 fibre broadband customers in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands are still affected by the fire at SingTel’s Bukit Panjang exchange on Wednesday.

“After further investigations, it appears that some individual links within some of OpenNet’s fibre cables damaged by the fire at SingTel’s Bukit Panjang exchange, were not reconnected properly.”

StarHub customers in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands had their cable television, cable broadband, digital voice and fibre broadband services disrupted as a result of a fire at SingTel’s Bukit Panjang exchange on Wednesday. All cable television, cable broadband and landline services for affected StarHub customers were fully restored by 2.30pm on October 10.

OpenNet’s Bukit Panjang Central Office is located within SingTel’s Internet Exchange facility in Bukit Panjang.
