The accident happened on Sunday at about 9.30pm.

A 51-year-old driver, who was believed to have been trying to park his car, had reversed it into a fence, before running over a gardening plot and ploughing into a wall at the Senior Citizens’ Corner at the foot of Block 4, Toh Yi Drive.

He then fell to the ground as soon as he got out of his car, which was a wreck.

Meanwhile, eleven-year-old Lissandra Saranya and her father, who had heard the crash from their flat at Block 5, rushed downstairs to the opposite block with bandages. Her father then wrapped the driver’s bloodied foot with bandages while they waited for the ambulance to arrive.
