Taxi ends up on staircase landing after cabby's wrong turn

Before you ask your cabby for a faster route next time, think again.

A taxi driver took a wrong turn at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) yesterday, landing himself in a spot of trouble.

The cab was stranded on a staircase landing until several students and staff pushed it down the stairs, with the driver at the wheel, onto the road.

The drama began at about 11.30am yesterday, when NTU students and staff were surprised by the sight of the stranded taxi near the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.

About 30 students gathered near the vehicle and snapped pictures of it on their mobile phones. Pictures of the scene later went viral online.

No one was injured in the incident.
