Selangor Selection v S-League Selection

Their first meeting as teammates didn’t exactly go to plan. Aleksandar Duric was left stranded at a petrol kiosk in Johor Baru for almost an hour, before the coach carrying Monsef Zerka and the rest of his S-League Selection teammates finally arrived.

Tampines Rovers striker Duric, the S-League’s top-scorer with 13 goals, had arranged for the pick-up as it was more convenient for him – the former Lions striker lives at East Ledang in Johor.

The 43-year-old is looking forward to pairing up with Tanjong Pagar hitman Zerka, one of the S-League’s outstanding foreign imports this season, when the team take on Selangor Selection in this year’s Sultan of Selangor’s Cup tonight at the Shah Alam Stadium.

After yesterday evening’s training session at the Shah Alam Stadium, both strikers praised each other, hoping that they will both play together tonight.
