MPs seek answers from govt on integrity & trust in civil service

Following a spate of high-profile prosecutions of senior civil servants, some Members of Parliament are seeking answers from the government when the House sits again next Monday.

Zaqy Mohamad (Choa Chu Kang) has asked Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to share how the government plans to address public concerns about the integrity and trust placed in Singapore's enforcement departments, as well as the measures being taken to ensure sufficient oversight of these units.

Hri Kumar (Bishan-Toa Payoh), meanwhile, wants to know if the government is taking any steps to tackle the issue of confidence in the country's public institutions.
