Man dies after Changi Village brawl, suspect arrested

A 45-year-old man involved in a fight at an entertainment outlet in Changi Village on Monday night has passed away shortly after being rushed to the hospital.

The suspected assailant, a 44-year-old Singaporean Chinese man, will face murder charges on Wednesday.

He is said to have been in a fight with the deceased, a Malay man, at Block 5 Changi Village Road.

Police were alerted about the fight at about 11.38pm on Monday night.

The man, who was rushed to Changi General Hospital, was pronounced dead at 12.17am this morning.

The Singaporean Chinese man was arrested and could face the death penalty if convicted.
