Young cyclist injured in Circuit Road accident

An 11-year-old boy was injured today in an accident after he was knocked down by a lorry at the junction of Balam Road and Circuit Road.

A caller to MediaCorp News hotline said the boy was riding a bicycle when the accident happened.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call about the accident at about 3.44pm, and an ambulance was sent down.

The SCDF said the boy sustained head injuries and abrasions on his arms and legs, and was unconscious. He was sent to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital.
