Island-wide chime to sound on Aug 4 at 8pm, DON'T be alarmed

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be conducting a rehearsal for the National Day Parade's Pledge Moment on Saturday, Aug 4 at 8pm.

As part of the rehearsal, the SCDF will be sounding a 20-second chime through its island-wide Public Warning System (PWS) network. The public is advised not to be alarmed.

The Pledge Moment, a yearly event since 2009, will bring together Singaporeans residing both locally and overseas, to take the pledge at the same time on National Day.
