A 31-year-old lorry driver raped and sodomised a three-year-old girl whom his wife babysat, Harian Metro reported.

The wife had stepped out of the house to go to a nearby shop when the suspect committed the act in the bathroom.

Klang Selatan police chief Mohamad Mat Yusop said the toddler complained to her father of pain in her private parts on the night of the incident.

"The victim told her father that the suspect brought her into the bathroom," said Mohamad.

The suspect was arrested at his house on the same day.

The girl had been under the care of the suspect's wife for the past two months.
