10 motorists arrested on Saturday for suspected drink-driving

Traffic Police arrested 10 motorists for drink-driving in a three-hour islandwide Anti-Drink-Driving operation on Saturday that started at midnight.

Road blocks were set up along Jalan Bukit Merah, Macpherson Road, Guillemard Road and Marine Parade Road.

Police said the 10 motorists aged between 33 and 60 years failed the breathalyser test and were arrested.

The highest breathalyser test result clocked was 88 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breathe, more than two times the prescribed legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
