2011's most popular primary schools

According to figures reported by The Straits Times (ST), 87 out of a total of 179 primary schools held balloting exercises last year for their P1 registration exercise.

According to a local parenting site, kiasuparents.com, the balloting process for Phase 2C registration saw applications soar to 486 per cent for South View Primary School.

Nan Chiau Primary School is also among a group of schools which face overwhelming demand during the P1 registration process. The other schools which were more than 2 ½ times subscribed in their Phase 2C registrations last year were South View, Nan Hua, Rosyth and Northland.
