MSL: Turtles go ninja on LionsXII and other match results

LionsXII 0 Terengganu 1
Vice-captain Hariss Harun kept Terengganu star striker Francis Forkey Doe quiet as the Liberian failed to make an impact in the early stages. But then, chances were few and far between as both sides entered the break level.

The second half was a dull affair as Terengganu dominated but that all changed with ten minutes left in the game.

Liberian striker Doe took advantage of some poor defending by the LionsXII and sent a low shot past Izwan Mahbud and into the bottom left corner.

That knocked the wind out of the LionsXII and the Singaporeans struggled to keep Terengganu out of their half and looked extremely lethargic on the field.

It was a demoralising defeat for the LionsXII, but the result could have been very different if they had taken their chances in the first half.

Kelantan march on; LIONSXII stunned
Defending Malaysian Super League (MSL) champions Kelantan strengthened their grip on top spot with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Kuala Lumpur.

Norshahrul Idlan Talaha drew first blood for Kelantan in the 46th minute before Antwi Dennis Agyre doubled his side's lead in the 76th minute at the Sultan Mohamed IV Stadium in Kota Baharu.

Mohd Badri Mohd Radzi rounded off an easy victory with an effort in the 78th minute to ensure Kelantan recorded their fourth win in five matches and stay at the top of the standings with 13 points.

Terengganu stunned hosts LIONSXII at the Jalan Besar stadium on Saturday evening with a 1-0 victory thanks to a strike from Francis Doe Forkey in the 77th minute.

Terengganu have now amassed 12 points this season.

Kedah's miserable run showed no signs of abating as Johor FC posted a 3-1 win against the former at the Darul Aman Stadium.

Giants Selangor earned a hard-fought 2-1 triumph against T-Team at the Sultan Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu as goals from Ramez Jamal Dayoub and Azidan Sarudin earned them three points.

Zairol Anuar Zalani netted the only goal for T-Team.

Sarawak twice came from behind to earn a thrilling 2-2 draw with Negri Sembilan at the Kuching Stadium.

Ahmad Shakir Md Ali and Shukor Adan plundered in goals for Negeri Sembilan but Sarawak fought back in the encounter thanks to goals from Guy Bwele and Zamri Morshidi.

Perak recorded a 2-1 win against Felda United at the Hang Jebat Stadium.
