Body of man found in Bedok Reservoir

The body of a man has been found in Bedok Reservoir - the seventh death in the reservoir since June 2011.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the body was found at about 5.20pm on Saturday. It was found about 20 metres from the shoreline.

The identity of the man is not known and investigations are ongoing.

Police were alerted by a caller at about 1.00pm on Saturday, that a man was seen going into the reservoir waters.

An eyewitness had described the man to be in his 30s, with curly hair, glasses and a tanned complexion.

Recently, a man was arrested for a suicide attempt there earlier this month on January 18.
