Free SMRT shuttle bus service, extended train services for CNY

Planning a trip to Chinatown over the Chinese New Year period? You could hop onto the free shuttle bus service offered by SMRT.

The transport operator announced on its Twitter account today that it will offer free shuttle bus service to Chinatown and extend train services from today until Sunday, Jan 22.

The bus service will run at 15-minute intervals from 8pm today until 12.30am, and from 8pm to 2am on Saturday and Sunday.

Commuters can board and alight at any of the nine stops between Tanjong Pagar and Raffles Place MRT stations via South Bridge Road and Robinson Road.

Train services at Outram Park, Dhoby Ghaut and HarbourFront MRT stations will also be extended.

Today, the last trains will depart between 12.50am to 1.14am (Saturday morning) depending on where the train is headed.

On Saturday and Sunday, the last trains will depart between 2.13am to 2.26am.

Nightrider services will operate tonight and tomorrow night from 11.30pm to 4.30am. There will be no nightrider services on Sunday and Monday.
