This is the largest haul in CNB's history.
On Oct 27, CNB officers stopped a 49-year-old suspected Singaporean drug trafficker at the Woodlands Checkpoint just after 2pm and carried out a search on the car he was driving.
During the search, the CNB officers found four bundles of ‘Ice’ hidden in the front console of his car weighing about 1kg and swiftly arrested him.
In another operation carried out today, about 4.5kg of heroin was seized.
CNB officers tailed a 44-year-old Singaporean suspected drug coordinator and his 38-year-old Malaysian associate to a HDB block in the vicinity of Pandan Gardens.
The suspected drug coordinator was subsequently arrested by CNB officers.
A black plastic bag which officers saw him holding was recovered by CNB officers, containing about 1.3kg of heroin.
Officers also recovered a sling bag containing heroin weighing about 3.2kg from the floorboard of the front passenger seat.
The three suspected drug offenders will be further investigated for drug trafficking and importation offences.
If convicted, they may face the death penalty.
