A 22-year-old stewardess, a Singapore permanent resident originally from the Philippines, was assaulted by a woman from China over a piece of luggage and has suffered pains to her face and bruises to her arms which went away only after two weeks.
The accused, 43-year-old Li Dan, is a self-employed person working in Singapore.
In her defence, Ms Li said she only hit the stewardess' arm.
If found guilty, Li Dan can be jailed up to two years or fined up to $5,000, or both.
The case has been adjourned to Oct 27 for Ms Li to hire a lawyer.
