Changes in Permanent Secretary appointments

There will be some movements in permanent secretary positions in various government departments from Nov 1.

The current Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office, Mr Benny Lim, will be appointed as the permanent secretary for National Development and National Security and Intelligence Coordination.

Mr Lim will continue concurrently as permanent secretary for the Prime Minister's Office.

On the same day, the permanent secretary for National Development since 2004, Mr Tan Tee How, will be appointed as permanent secretary for Home Affairs.

Mr Peter Ong, who is currently the permanent secretary for National Security and Intelligence Coordination, will remain as Head of Civil Service, permanent secretary (Special Duties) in the Prime Minister's Office and permanent secretary for Finance.
