Train services for the entire Line were stalled for more than four hours and 26,600 commuters were affected.

The report said the Transport Minister had directed the Land Transport Authority to investigate two main aspects.

Firstly, whether SMRT's procedures for existing maintenance, preventive and corrective measures can be improved.

Secondly, how can the operator more speedily determine the cause of future disruptions.
