Chelsea are considering making a £20million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira in the January transfer window.
The German international has appeared to have fallen out of favour with Jose Mourinho after the Madrid boss put the blame on his dismissal for their shock 1-0 defeat to Levante two weeks ago.
The midfielder was signed from Stuttgart last year and played 40 games for Madrid last season.
However, he has only started twice for Madrid this season - a clear sign his future at the Bernabeu is on the rocks.
