Pay cut of up to 30% for rehired teachers: MOE

TEACHERS who have retired and are re-employed will no longer be paid their last drawn salaries but an amount that is lower by up to 30 per cent.

The move by the Ministry of Education (MOE) has caused unhappiness among some teachers and prompted the Singapore Teachers' Union (STU) to call for a rethink.
