FIVE people, including the driver, were hurt when an SBS bus they were on smashed into a tree just after midnight yesterday.
They were cut by glass shards when the windows shattered on impact.
The 40-year-old bus driver, who was trapped in her seat, also had cuts on her face and was bleeding, according to evening newspaper Shin Min Daily News.
Service No. 43 was travelling along Yio Chu Kang Road, near Serangoon Garden Way, at the time.
It is not clear how the incident happened.
All five were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
