This year, Merissa Jane Lee, a 19 year-old Mass Communication student from Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), who has a Grade Point Average of 3.83 and scored mostly As and Bs for her modules, was chosen for the medal.
She reveals that she had been working towards the medal since she began her education at NP, and said that she was "filled with a sense of relief" when she found out that she had won the scholarship and medal two weeks ago.
