Redknapp is aware that West Ham could have problems holding on to Parker, should they not survive this season's relegation battle to stay in the Barclays Premier League.
"If they don't stay up they've got a problem keeping the Footballer of the Year," he said.
"He's a real proper pro, proper good bloke, family man, role model, not a minute's problem, gets on with it. We liked him but I don't think we ever got close really, £15m was a lot of money for his age.
"If they go down, is he going to play in the Championship next year? I wouldn't have thought so. I don't know but it isn't going to be £15m, is it? He wants to play for England. It is going to be hard for him."
He also gave an insight to Spurs' interest in Chelsea star Drogba, saying: "Drogba is still a fantastic player. Who knows, its up to Chelsea what they do but he's been a great player for them for sure.
"He's a good player, a handful for any defence. He's a fantastic centre-forward with power, strength, he's got everything.
"He scores goals. He plays for Chelsea and until they decide otherwise, you can't speculate about his future. But he's a good player."
