The 'man' who was caught on CCTV kicking and hitting some kittens with an umbrella in an alleyway in Serdang, Malaysia, is apparently a girl. Her name is Chow Xiao Wei.
According to the report in The New Paper today (Mar 6), photos of the 'tomboy' uploaded on Facebook show her wearing the same baseball cap, dark T-shirt and white knee-length shorts as the 'man' seen on the CCTV footage.
Netizens claimed that the girl, known as Mr Lonely or Mr Louis on her Facebook profile, removed her profile and changed her mobile phone number after her details were revealed online.
Some Facebook users also claimed that they saw the girl operating a foodstall at the Serdang market.
