The first race is scheduled for May next year in Thailand and the last leg in October in the Philippines.

Each leg will be run over a 16.8km route and feature "open" and "closed" categories for men and women.

The Singapore leg will be flagged off on Aug 28.

The winners of each leg will qualify for an all-expense paid trip to the 2011 KOTR Championship, to be held in the Philippines, where the overall champions will be crowned.

Registration for the Singapore leg of the race will open in the middle of next month.

Adidas hopes to attract up to 10,000 participants in Singapore for the inaugural race and more than 45,000 across the region.

More details will be announced later.
