SINGAPORE: Bangkok Glass ensured Singapore clubs ended the season this year without any silverware from the nation's three major domestic football competitions when they beat Tampines Rovers 1-0 in the RHB Singapore Cup Final at Jalan Besar Stadium on Sunday night.
Yay! Singaporean clubs suck!
Tampines, who finished second to French outfit Etoile FC in the Great Eastern-Yeo's S-League this year, produced some nifty work in the first 15 minutes before the Thais asserted their authority in midfield to take control.
The winning goal for Bangkok Glass came in the 57th minute, when Tampines defender Benoit Croissant deflected the ball into his own net after trying to clear a Wasan Homsaen cross.
Bangkok Glass completed the foreign sweep on Singapore turf after Etoile also picked up the League Cup in February.
